02 - 7 oz good-quality white chocolate
→ Peppermint Topping
03 - 8 peppermint candy canes or 4 oz hard peppermint candies, crushed
04 - 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
→ Garnish
05 - 0.7 oz freeze-dried raspberries, crushed (optional)
06 - 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips (optional)
# How-To Steps:
01 - Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
03 - Pour melted dark chocolate onto the prepared sheet and spread with a spatula into a rough 1/4 inch thick rectangle.
04 - Refrigerate for 10 minutes until slightly set but not hard.
05 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method; stir in peppermint extract if using.
06 - Pour melted white chocolate evenly over the chilled dark chocolate layer.
07 - Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies and optional garnishes over the white chocolate, pressing lightly to adhere.
08 - Chill for 20 to 30 minutes until fully set.
09 - Break or cut the bark into irregular shards.
10 - Arrange shards on a large wooden board for sharing.
